The other gable is the digital side of my studio... where the Mac DP G4 humms away, a lifeline to the world.

Most of my communication with clients is via e-mail now.

I've got two scanners, a wacom, CD burner, digital camera, cinema display, DSL, zip and two wide format desktop printers. I just can't live without all these digital tools now.

The software I use is mostly Adobe Creative Suite. I think these digital tools easily increase my productivity by 30%.

Here's my custom made printer stand for the two printers... how to fit two printers into the space of one.

The Epson 2200 printer is for printing out linework onto watercolor paper. Amazing results... much better than tracing through a lightbox.

The Canon i9100 is great for everyday printing... very fast output and inexpensive ink.

I can't draw or paint without music it seems...
Hence the basket full of tapes.
Also visible is the 'mailing & shipping' department and fax.

My homemade cupboard... the latest in modern plywood design. It's a little plain, but it works great.

There's a hodgepodge of art supplies in the upper shelves. I'm never quite sure what's in there. Artjunk from years past.

The fan on the floor is my 'white noise' machine... to drown out noise from inside and outside the house when needed.

The bulletin board... of course. Home to little mementos from ideas past... favorite drawings, indispensible clutter.

And yet more shelves... what better place for clutter?

The top shelves are filled with books I've done.  The lower shelves are books I like from other artists and reference books.

And that brings us full circle around the studio tour.

Two last things... me... and the cat.

Here she is pondering the mystery of life... striking picturesque poses all day long.

Perhaps she's wondering if she really ought to switch to 'less active cat' formula or not.

I'd say she qualifies.
